Review: International Snooker for Windows Phone

image-1-1
I’ve been playing a game called “International Snooker” for a while now, and I think it is an amazing game, so I thought I might as well make a review on it. Please note, this is the first time I’ve actually made a review on a game for a mobile device. As a snooker enthusiast, I love to play snooker in all ways possible. That includes on an actual snooker table, or on some form of game. I also love watching snooker too, and if you’re in the UK, you’ll see that the Snooker World Championships are currently on! As I’m from Rotherham which is located next to Sheffield, this makes it even more of one of my favourite sports of all time! Now, let’s get on to the review…

Whilst playing this game, I found that a lot of basic rules of the snooker game were not put into the game such as being able to force your opponent to continue or retake a shot after a foul, or being able to get a free ball after your opponent fouls and snookers you. These are basically the bad points of the game…  I didn’t find any others.

Now it’s time for the good points about this game! Obviously for a game, you would expect on a mobile device, it would look very pixellated or something, but obviously the mobile devices of today are just getting better and better! The ability to play games like we can now on a phone these days is just brilliant, compared to how it used to be. I find the graphics of this game to actually be quite good, to be honest. If you scroll around the room, you’ll see the audience and the border of the arena, as well as other small features. I find that quite nice. Another thing I like about the graphics is the look of the table, the balls and all the small details (which I mentioned not long back), as well as being able to change your camera view to a birdseye view.

The sound effects to me seem fine, so that includes the music in the main menu of the game, as well as the applause of the audience when you take a good shot.

This is one of my most favourite games so far on Windows Phone, and I hope that soon there will be more games on the Marketplace very similar to this for fans of sports like this, like me!

My rating of this game is a high 4 out of 5 stars, obviously as there are bad points to the game which I picked up on.

Remember to try the game out before you consider buying it! Personally, I think this is a must-have game for any fans of snooker out there who own a Windows Phone!
